The Juniper Networks MPC7E-MRATE is a high-performance, multi-rate Modular Port Concentrator (MPC) designed for Juniper’s MX Series routers. This versatile line card enhances the scalability and flexibility of service provider and enterprise networks by supporting a wide range of interface speeds, from 10GbE to 100GbE.

• High-Density Multi-Rate Ports

• Equipped with 12 QSFP+/QSFP28 ports, each capable of supporting 10GbE, 40GbE, and 100GbE connections. This flexibility allows network operators to adapt to varying bandwidth requirements and optimize network performance. 

• Impressive Throughput

• Delivers up to 480 Gbps of line-rate throughput on MX240, MX480, and MX960 routers, ensuring efficient data processing for high-demand applications. On the MX2000 series routers, it provides up to 400 Gbps throughput. 

• Advanced Networking Features

• Supports full-scale Layer 2 and Layer 2.5 features. For Layer 3 functionalities, it supports up to 2 million routes in the Forwarding Information Base (FIB), up to 6 million routes in the Routing Information Base (RIB), and up to 32 Layer 3 VPN instances per card. This ensures robust routing capabilities and efficient network traffic management. 

• Flexible Port Configuration

• Four out of the 12 ports support QSFP28 transceivers, providing additional flexibility in network design and deployment.

• At different operating temperatures, the power consumption is as follows:

• 55°C: 545 W

• 40°C: 465 W

• 25°C: 440 W

LED Indicators

• OK/FAIL LED: A bicolor LED indicating the status of the MPC.

• Steady green: MPC is functioning normally.

• Yellow: MPC has encountered a failure.

• LINK LEDs: One green LED per port (four per QSFP+ cage).

• Steady green: Link is active.

• Off: Link is down or disabled.

Condition

This unit is pre-owned and in excellent working condition. It has undergone thorough testing to ensure full functionality. While there may be minor cosmetic signs of wear, these do not affect its operational performance.
